Local Schools get lucky with grants from Amazon

If you haven’t heard about Amazon’s new Arlington HQ and the job it’s going to bring, you need to visit ArlingtonCounty.com much more often. But what you might not have heard about is how its giving money schools for engineering programs.

Four schools in Arlington have been named as funding winners of Amazon Future Engineer initiative. These schools include; Abingdon, Hoffman-Boston and Drew elementary schools, as well as Kenmore Middle School. Each of these schools will receive $10,000. Though this may seem as just a move from Amazon to garner good PR, which it probably, it is good for the schools nevertheless.
