Last Wednesday, July 10th, Amazon presented its plan for the Metro Park in Crystal City to Arlington officials. They want to build two 22 story towers as the first phase of their 15-year HQ2 buildout process. Along with office space, these towers are set to feature over 55,000 square feet of retail space. Amazon, the company that put so many brick and mortar stores out of business, has said that they want to offer the space to local retailers and merchants in the community. They also plan on these buildings being net-zero energy, have a public art space and garden, and also have free community banana stand.
